Buddha Jyoti Academy, an English medium Co-educational institution, located at Dallu, Kathmandu is committed to initiate sound knowledge in various academic subjects and to mould a commendable moral character in the pupils, besides teaching them to act systematically in a disciplined manner so that they will prove themselves to be valuable citizens of the nation in the future. The objective of this School is to promote the total development of the  person. We consider each enrolment as an indispensable asset to the  institution with a pious goal of uplifting his/her all round  development through curricular and extra-curricular activities. The  school conducts classes from Nursery to X (Ten). The school also  has a play group section to facilitate the employed parents and to prepare the children below the age level for schooling. The school, at  present is running classes up to the S.E.E level. It has already got  permission to run classes 11 and 12.

Educational Programme:

  • The school session resumes as per the government academic calendar, the working hours begin from 9. 45 am to 3.45 pm. The average teaching schedule is 42 periods a week, each of 40 to 45 minutes and students are given homework at least in three subject to do everyday.
  •  The school runs from Sunday to Friday and remains closed on Saturdays.
  • Holidays are mentioned in the annual calendar which is published in the, beginning of each academic session.
  • The medium of Instruction will be English.
  • The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the CDC with reference syllabuses to cover different disciplines.
  • The academic year is divided into four terms for the purpose of evaluating the work of the students. In addition, there are weekly and monthly class tests throughout the year which will be the base for proper evaluation for promotion.
  • Progress reports are prepared for parents after each term.
  • Parents and guardians are always welcome to approach the principal’s desk to confer or any of the teachers to know about their wards progress.

Co-curricular Activities:

Besides academic subjects, the school equally gives emphasis on co-curricular activities as an integral part of the total education and students are encouraged to participate in such activities to develop their talents according to their personal interest. Students will find opportunities for involvement in multifold areas depending on their interest in the activities like singing and dancing, games and sports, elocution, literary contests and debate, art and music etc.

General Health Care

The school provides first aid service to the students in school. In case of any emergency during school hours, the school will reach to the doctor for which parents will have to pay.

General Rules

  • The school runs from Sunday to Friday.
  • This school starts at 9.45 and ends at 3:45.
  • Parents are requested to see their children whether they are tidy, in complete uniform and have taken any response to school correspondence and regulations.
  • Parents are required to inform school regarding the absence of their children and their activities at home.
  • The school restricts unusual clothes, make up, valuable articles and large amount of money.
  • Smoking, alcoholic drinks, drugs and dangerous articles are not allowed in the school premises.
  • Students must be friendly, polite, co-operative sociable, smart, attentive, obedient and good character. In absence of any these qualities, school administration will be compelled to take any disciplinary actions.
  • Students suffering from any communicable disease are suggested not to come to school until their recovery.
  • The school will be responsible for first aid treatment.
